Matt DarganMatt Dargan is a professional guitar player and songwriter currently living in Philadelphia, PA. Born and raised in Greater Boston, Matt graduated Cum Laude with his B.S. in Communications and Journalism from Suffolk University.
Matt was a guitarist and co-songwriter in the Boston post-hardcore band Textbookcopilot, appearing on 2014's "Arrivals// Departures," and 2015's "Catching a Rise on a Sinking Ship," the latter of which was produced by former Jawbox/Burning Airlines frontman J. Robbins. Matt left the band in early 2015 and is currently writing and recording music for a future project. In addition to music, Matt has a background in radio production and broadcast journalism. In 2011, Matt worked at WEEI performing audio production work on Boston Red Sox games, as well as co-producing live programming for New England's largest sports radio network. In 2013, Matt worked at the Boston Herald as a video journalist, creating news content for the publication's online website. During his time at the Boston Herald, Matt covered breaking news events ranging from coverage of the Whitey Bulger murder trial, the Aaron Hernandez murder investigation, a presidential visit from Barack Obama, and developments in the the Boston Marathon Bombing. While a student at Suffolk University, Matt worked on the weekly web-based current events TV program "Press Party," featuring a roundtable of local politicians, and Boston Herald journalists discussing the media's handling of popular news topics. On the show, Matt produced news packages and frequently performed in-studio camera work and sound mixing. In 2015, Matt worked as a sound designer on ReVamp Collective's original play "Shit Men Have Said to Me" for it's one week run as part of MZ Fest, creating audio montages and mashing up pop songs for use in choreographed dance sequences. Most recently Matt worked as a production assistant on a music video for Philadelphia-based Hip Hop artist Rock Bottom, while also appearing in the video with a small acting role. |

In his free time, Matt is a fanatical baseball fan that roots for the Boston Red Sox. He's also an avid collector of seven inch vinyl records by obscure hardcore, indie, and punk rock bands. Other interests include cooking, watching documentaries, and reading books about music, psychology, and sociology.
